Part 1  Read “The Mystery of the Cancelled Light Show” and create an ending for it

  Jenna went to the back of the falls and found several wires cut. Sparks flew everywhere. Jenna then went with her father and saw a man go into a car. Jenna’s dad called the police. The police caught the man and hand-cuffed him. Then Jenna and her dad went back to the falls.

Part 3  Create a story start with the sentence from part 2 activity

  Natalie sluggishly awarded her son with a piece of candy in their Chicago apartment. She said, in a very annoyed way “Good job, Nate, on doing so well.” She signed deeply, and went to the bedroom. She lay down on the bed and tried to fall asleep. But she couldn’t. First, Nate broke his best beloved action figure, then after throwing a huge, earsplitting temper tantrum, he got so mad he ripped his favorite comic book. Then he ate his lunch so slow that Natalie thought he might miss supper-time. To make up for this bad day, Natalie made Nate to read his favorite picture book, which had 20 pages and was called “Mr. Egg” to her. And that is how Nate got his piece of candy at the beginning of the tory.
